The new generation of utility belts for the urban nomad This belt incorporates an alarm system that notifies its wearer [and others] of an incoming call. It It also allows easy access to the most important items of any urban nomad: wallet, MP3 player and cellphone.
The technology of the purse involves the use of a sensor that detects the electromagnetic field that is created when an incoming call or sms is received. The materials were black velvet, plastic and LED's. This project was developed in collaboration with Daniel Bartolini for
Tom Igoe's Introduction to Physical Computing class at the Interactive Telecommunications Program at NYU.
